Thank you for your interest in adopting a child with moderate to severe therapeutic or medical needs featured on the Gulf Coast JFCS Heart Gallery.

Ethan is a bright and active 10‑year‑old African American boy with a big heart and an even bigger love for play, movement, and creativity. Though he can be shy at first, Ethan opens up quickly when games are involved—whether he’s shooting hoops, playing football, running outside, or diving into a video game. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes wonderfully chatty, energetic, and full of fun conversation.

Ethan is in 4th grade and especially enjoys math. His favorite animal is the cheetah, and just like one, he loves moving fast! His favorite color is gold, his favorite candy is gum, and his favorite singer is Rod Wave. Ethan also dreams big—when he grows up, he hopes to become a recording artist, creating music that reflects his vibrant personality. His playful spirit, love for sports, and easy smile make him a joy to be around.

Ethan was especially creative during his Heart Art session! He started off a little quiet, but once he found his groove, he got wonderfully focused and made multiple pieces of artwork. Ethan particularly enjoyed working with clay. He crafted a duck along with its entire habitat, complete with a chair, a TV, and even a pet named Greg. He loved experimenting with different materials, textures, and colors, and even shared his favorite music with the group so everyone could sing along while creating. Ethan’s imagination and artistic energy made the session extra special!

Ethan is looking for a caring, supportive forever family where he can feel safe, loved, and encouraged to try new things. He hopes for an African American family who will cheer him on, share adventures, explore his interests, and help him continue to grow into his confident, active self.
