Thank you for your interest in adopting a child with moderate to severe therapeutic or medical needs featured on the Gulf Coast JFCS Heart Gallery.

David is a thoughtful, compassionate, and creative Caucasian 16‑year‑old with a gentle heart and a strong sense of loyalty. He’s the kind of young man who looks out for others, protects those who can’t always protect themselves, and tries to live every day with kindness and respect. His calm spirit helps him thrive in peaceful environments, away from chaos or loud noise. When he needs to relax, music—especially country and hip hop—soothes him instantly. His favorite colors, including red, sunburnt orange, sea green, and lavender, reflect his warm personality and artistic side.

Deeply connected to his faith, David holds his favorite mottos close: “Eyes of a lion, heart of a tiger,” and “Treat others how you want to be treated.” These values guide the way he moves through the world, always striving to be genuine and caring.

David has a wide range of interests. He loves staying active and often spends his time swimming, fishing, working out, practicing karate, playing kickball, and riding his bike or hoverboard. When he slows down, he enjoys reading, developing stories, and exploring the rich worlds found in Percy Jackson. He’s also a fan of anime and especially loves Naruto. Nature brings him peace, as long as there are no bees, wasps, or mosquitos around to ruin the moment!

Animals hold a very special place in David’s heart. He finds joy in the company of any kind of pet and dreams of having animals of his own someday. He cares deeply about the people in his life and values spending time with friends, building relationships, and meeting new people. His openness makes him easy to talk to, and he expresses his feelings with honesty and thoughtfulness.

David is also passionate about church and loves being involved in his youth group. Giving back matters to him, and he volunteers at a library during his spare time, showing his commitment to helping others.

When David imagines his future, he hopes for a loving home with a mom and a dad, pets, and possibly siblings—as long as he has his own room where he can recharge and feel grounded. Family, friendship, and connection are important to him, and staying in touch with the meaningful people in his life will always matter. He is open to relocating if it means finding the right family who will embrace him, appreciate his creativity and kindness, and offer the secure, lasting bond he has been longing for.

David is ready for a family who will see his heart, celebrate his strengths, and welcome him into a forever home filled with love and support.
